Random white blank post page instead of blog content?

Hello! I am having the weirdest issue where certain pages on my site aren’t loading any content. I can preview the post from the dashboard and it shows, but the published/live page is just a blank white screen.

Can you provide any insights?

Example: https://keyholesoftware.com/2017/05/08/quick-introduction-to-the-computer-vision-api/

Thank you in advance for your help!

As always, as soon as I post that URL, the page content returns.

Here are other examples: https://keyholesoftware.com/application-architecture-wo-feign-1/, https://keyholesoftware.com/2017/04/24/getting-started-with-angular-cli-commands/, https://keyholesoftware.com/2017/04/17/amazon-alexa-skill/

If it helps, this was brought to my attention by the Google Search Console/ Mobile Usability detector. It seems intermittent, definitely very odd.

Hi @laurenfournier,

Thank you for writing in, yes the issue seems to be intermittent sometimes the page loads sometimes it not.

Please clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache), and if you can, please deactivate your caching features for a while and see if that resolves the issue.

If the issue persists, please do a Testing for Plugin Conflict.

Cheers!

Thank you, Friech! I think you were right, and I’m hoping it’s fixed. It was part of the Autoptimize plugin and how it handled optimizing the javascript code. It at least seems so be working

On another note, can you share with me the best way to ensure text remains visible during webfont load? My website speed is abysmal and I am trying very hard to improve it! Currently using Cloudflare, Autoptimize, and an Image Optimizer plus preloading and I’m still struggling to get the score to improve. It says this is one of the ways to do that, but none of the fixes I’ve found on the forum has helped.

Hi @laurenfournier,

We have a Performance Tips series on our Youtube Channel please check it out.

Please see the Font Manager configuration, at the bottom of it you’ll see a font-display option, try setting that to swap

You can read the definition of each value here.

Cheers!
