Random code from background videos appearing in footer

I have 2 websites that are showing the code “/* ]]> */” in the footer section of the site.

If I inspect the site I can see one is from the background video and the other is from a Google tag (which if commented out removes the text displayed) and has been fixed, similar to this /* ]]> */ Text Showing at the Bottom of Site

Any advice on how to proceed with this would be greatly appreciated as it’s appeared twice and will most likely appear again.

Thanks for reaching out.
The issue you mentioned mostly happens due to some broken HTML tags. I would suggest you delete the sections one by one and check if that resolves or not. The last one you deleted before the issue was resolved is the reason behind your problem.
I would also suggest you check if any external JavaScript code is added wrongly or not. Please remember that we don’t offer any support for external code-related issues.

If that is not the case, I would request you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

Thanks @tristup, that helped me find the cause.

It was a code from a insert JS plugin that was causing the code to be displayed. It had ‘cs’ in the id tag which made me look for a Cornerstone issue - it wasn’t, I just couldn’t figure it out.
