Questions RE Mobile and Desktop Design

Hey there, hoping you can help me out.

I’m currently designing a new website and want to ensure my mobile and desktop version are both as sexy as possible.

With the way I plan to design it, I want to have a few headlines and parapgrahs like this website: https://yellowpanda.com.au/

The part I’m talking about starts where it says “target Melenials” and you can see there is the headline, with text below and an image next to it but then below, the next headline, text and image is on the opposite side and then the next paragraph switches back.

I know how to create this design on desktop no worries but without creating a mobile version that is hidden on desktop and vice versa, the page would look funny.

I’m happy to make a mobile and desktop version and hide them depending on screen size but I’m worried that google will think I have double the content… Does that make sense?

I’m confusing my self a little here but if you could let me know that would be great.

Thank you

Hi @ThomasInAction,

Thanks for reaching out.

Sites are only penalized if the hidden content is deceitful or misleading the users with information. And if google will penalize such setup, then it’s like avoiding the same wording or content, hidden or not. Even Google uses such setup (hidden content) for each device, and that setup is part of a responsive layout, and that is part of device accessibility that googles allowed.
