Query Builders, Dynamic Content, and DC Dates not working? Single Layout Builder

Hey team!

I am not sure exactly what’s happening here, but wanted to see if I had misconfigured a looper again or not.

I’m trying to build a Single Layout for the Sermon Discussion taxonomy that displays the first Message published after the post’s publish date. (The Sermon Discussion posts get published on Thursdays, and the associated Messages get posted on Sundays.)

I have a Query Builder that grabs my Messages post type, but when I try to filter them out by date (using the {{dc:post:publish_date}} property), it doesn’t work.

I can only seem to get either the first or last Message to appear (not the one published most closely after my Sermon Discussion post was published).

Am I missing something? Is there an issue with DC Dates that doesn’t play nicely with loopers?

Hi @kjroelke,

Thanks for reaching out.
The Date option works perfectly within the Looper Provider, there might be some other reason behind your issue. To investigate your issue further, please provide login credentials for your site in the secure note, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Layout where you are having this issue
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hello @KJRoelke,

Thanks for providing the information. Please be advised that in a taxonomy archive, there is already a loop. Each Message item will be displayed in chronological order according to the published dates. You do not need to run a Looper provider unless you are trying to display the post terms of each posted item. The settings in your screenshot will only work if you are trying to display the Message post type on a normal page or on your homepage.

Hope this makes sense.
