Pullquote citation hyperlink not visible

Hi there,

I have tried to add a link to the citation of a pull quote (can be seen under the header ‘He who controls the past controls the future’ header of this page http://www.eurasianwhispers.com/manaschi-kyrgyzstan/ ) but now the citation is no longer visible.

The code is as follows:

<p>[x_pullquote cite="<a href="http://geohistory.today/manas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Josh Wilson</a>" type="right" class="first"][x_icon type="quote-left"] The name 'Manas' is said to come from: the M in 'Mohammed', the N in 'Nabi' (prophets of Islam), and the S from the form of a lion's crooked tail. [x_icon type="quote-right"][/x_pullquote]</p>

Do you know what I’m doing wrong here?

Thank you,
EW

Hey,

I need to create a separate page and add this shortcode to test quickly and easily. Would you provide to us your WP credentials in a secure note?

Hi John,

Giving you the login credentials now.

Thank you,
EW

Hello EW,

Thanks for providing the url. I have checked your page and see the issue. Please understand that by default, the citation will only accept text. If you wish to insert a link, please make sure that the single quotes will just be inside the double quotes. Using the same quotes will render the code invalid and will not display the citation.

Please make use of this code instead:

<p>[x_pullquote cite="<a href='http://geohistory.today/manas/' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Josh Wilson</a>" type="right" class="first"][x_icon type="quote-left"] The name 'Manas' is said to come from: the M in 'Mohammed', the N in 'Nabi' (prophets of Islam), and the S from the form of a lion's crooked tail. [x_icon type="quote-right"][/x_pullquote]</p>

We would loved to know if this has work for you. Thank you.

Hi Rue,

That worked perfectly, thank you so much!

EW

You’re most welcome!
