Hello. I searched the forum for this, but did not see it. I have multiple sites running pro and this is happening on every one of them. Here’s the scenario:
- Pro is active theme
- Pro is current version
- Wordpress is current version
- Wordpress’s built in Gutenberg page builder is disabled with a plugin such as: ‘Disable Gutenberg’ or "Classic Editor’
- Wordpress page or post editor is ‘2 columns’, as is the default in “screen options”
- Pro’s ‘Page Settings’ box is pushed far to the right and overlaps (and hides) the 2nd column which displays the boxes for: Publish, Page Attributes, etc.
- This “page settings” box use to be UNDER the post/page content editor box but it can’t be moved there anymore for some reason
- I can switch to 1 column and then all boxes display under the editor but I dont like this view
- I can switch to Wordpress’s default theme (2024), and keep ‘Disable Gutenberg’ or "Classic Editor’ or ‘No Gutenberg’ enabled and then the boxes show correctly when editing a page or post but because Pro isn’t enabled, there’s no “page settings” box
See screenshot.
Of course, when editing pages I work most of the time in cornerstone, but I still like to get into WordPress’s default post or page editor because I find it’s easier to manage the page attributes and publish status. And I really hate WordPress’s Gutenberg block builder so my requirement is to have a plug-in to disable that and go back to the classic post or page editor. But it doesn’t seem to matter which plug-in I use to disable it, I have the same issue with pro’s “page settings” box.
In my troubleshooting, I have disabled all other plug-ins except for ‘Disable Gutenberg’ or "Classic Editor’ or ‘No Gutenberg’ and I still have the same issue.
I know you can’t be compatible with every single plug-in that exists in the repository, but is there a way I can have the classic WordPress post or page editor appear correctly in two columns while also having pro as my default theme?
Thanks always for the help.
