Problems with the headers in the new PRO update

Hi, I have updated to the latest version of PRO and I have a question about a header. I have different headers on different pages and now when I want to choose page to my header I can only see MY LISTINGS and POSTS, a cant find pages as I did before.

Almost all of my “old” headers that I created before the update (that I am using for my pages) is now showing that they are Unassigned but they are showing on these pages. I have tried to create a new header but I still cant choose a page.

Has anyone the same problem?

Hi There,

Upon checking your website you have optmizations and cache plugins, please clean the cache of those plugins and de-activate them and test it again.

Still not working, I have tried cleaning the cache of those plugins and de-activate them and even tried when the plugind are deactivatet. Nothing works :frowning:

Hi there,

Would you mind providing your CloudFlare login credentials as well? I see that your site is being served from CF which also minify and cache it. Or perhaps, turn off all features that are related to caches including CF. Then let’s check it again.

Yes we have a SSL certificat there aswell I will send them in a secure note

Not sure what happened during the update but it looks like some data was corrupted.

You need to re-aasign your headers again to update the data.

When you say that data was corrupted, is it only the Headers that is the problem? We have notice some problem with a third party plugin (Asgaros forum). When Autoptimize plugin is activatet (I think it is Javascript) yoy cant reply in the forum, the text is then white instead of black. I have solved this with a css code but now I am nervous that it is more problems that I havent dicoverd yet when yoy say that Data is corrupted.

Hey @Wilja,

@paul.r as likely referring to the Header only. We’re not sure what is the reason why the assignments were gone. You will need to reassign them to your pages.

Hi, Yes I understand but the problem is that i cant fint the PAGES onlu posts and Listings not pages that I have in my menu

Hello There,

It seems that there is a caching overload in your site. Since you have installed Autoptimize and WP fastest cache, you will have to clear your Autoptimize cache and regenerate the JS/CSS first and then clear the WP Fastest cache before your test your site. It would be best if you also deactivate these plugins while testing your site. In most cases, when there is an update, even if you already have updated to the latest version, the Autoptimize and WP Fastest cache is still serving the old cache on your site which may have contributed to this issue.

Hi,
This is driving me crazy, I am clearing my caches on both plugins a couple of times a day. I did it again now, and I deactivated them, still no pages choice in the Header. How do regenerate the JS/CSS first ? I am now that good at this so could someone please help me?

Hi Mikaela,

This could possibly be a plugin conflict too, please deactivate all your caching/optimizer plugins and feature for a while until this issue is resolved.

Then do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I know its always not possible to do a plugin conflict test on a live site, if this is the case please duplicate your site on a staging server and let’s do the troubleshooting there.

Hi,
Still not working, I have reuploading the theme and deactivated cache plugins and still no luck. Can you show me how it looks wehn you are choosing a page to your headers? Can you still see a cache overload?

Hey Mikaela,

I’m seem to understand the situation now but correct me if I’m wrong. Please take a look at the screenshot below:

You are not able to assign to a page anymore because it is populated by posts (including your listings). Regretfully, this is a known bug in Pro which currently has no solution yet. Please stay tuned for updates.
