Problems with Slider Revolution Vimeo videos in Safari and Chrome

I have a Vimeo video added as layer in a slide. When the autoplay mode is active, the video starts playing on entering the slide but without sound (due to the new multimedia policy of both Safari and Chrome), which is fine, but the video controls (pause, volume etc.) are also hidden, although the “Hide Controls” is set to OFF. If I turn off the autoplay mode, the controls are shown, but when I start the video and try to skip forward, the video halts at the new position and the play button does not work any more. I have to navigate to another slide and back to this one in order to gain control over the play button again. I’d appreciate any help for solving this issue.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for sharing the link. I had already visited that page and read about the new playback restrictions. However this doesn’t answer my question for the playback issues after skipping forward on a video with sound that is not set to autoplay. This happens only on Vimeo videos. I’ve tested with a Youtube video and it works fine.

Hi @absart,

It could be an issue with Vimeo itself and their standard is different in Youtube video. The playback is handled by Vimeo player itself within the iframe. It could be a preloading issue or related, and those controls are from Vimeo itself and not from the slider. I recommend contacting Vimeo regarding the playback issue.
