Problems with slide loading Revolution slider

Hi I currently trying to add a new slide to main page slider but its doing something very odd.
It seems to be lazy loading a small static background with a spinner before loading the actual background.
This has only just started happening and the other 3 slides are fine

The slide is disabled at the mo so logon attached in private post

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in!

The issue is due to the image size you are using for the new slide.
The old slides having small and lightweight Images for the background, whereas the new slide background image having huge size. Please make the image lightweight, so that it will load faster.
The current size of the image is 3000px X 2021px, please make it 1024 x 683 px as of other slider size.

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Hi ok so I have changed the size but has made no difference

I have notice if I make this the last slide then it works fine but breaks as I move it to the front?

Hi,

Your slider looks fine, please clarify.

Thanks

the broken slide is disabled. Go in to slider revolution with the admin details supplied and look at the last slide on the Home Page 001 set. Preview that slide you will see the issue. It starts zoomed in the corrects its self. If you then move that slide to the start of the set you see the same problem but it also stops the other slides working

Hi there,

That’s because you enabled the option Stop slider out of viewport, your slider will only start to render once you scroll it. I turn it off and it seems to be loading instantly now.

Thanks!

SOrry that has made no difference please see my private mesage

Hi Ainsleymd,
I can see some JS errors reported in the browser console that could prevent the slider from working as it should on the test page you created. Could you please update Pro theme to the latest stable version then recheck this issue?

You can follow this guide to update the theme:

Thanks.

Update done no change any other ideas

Hello there,

Your slider in your homepage is now working. I’ve just updated the declaration of your jQuery ready document as it was incorrect.

I just didn’t configure the options of the slider in the Slider Test page as homepage slider was the priority.

Another thing, kindly re-upload this image bg-integrity-1.png to the wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2013/06/ folder as it was missing and produces JS errors on the console.

Hope that helps.

It is still not working. When I move the last slide to the beginning of the main slider it breaks again. Please test this on the Slider test and you will see the problem

Also this folder does not exist at all are you sure that is the right error?

Hello there,

  1. It is still not working. When I move the last slide to the beginning of the main slider it breaks again.

The homepage slider is working fine on my end. See video screencast here.

Can you give us a screencast video so we can clarify where you see the issue on your end? You can upload it through your Google account with Google Drive.

  1. Please test this on the Slider test and you will see the problem

I won’t be able to test that behavior on the slider of Slider Test page as we know it only shows 1 slide. I guess there was an error after you clone it, not sure. I have however cloned your homepage slider on this page, and can confirm that it’s working fine: http://www.balibisa.com/slider-test-1/

  1. Also this folder does not exist at all are you sure that is the right error?

Sorry for the confusion about the missing image, it’s now fixed. It was only a cache related issue of the background pattern image in Pro > Theme Options > Layout and Design.

Let us know how it goes.

This is getting very frustration please look at the slider-test this is a copy of the main slider with the VTCT course slide at the beginning which is what is causing the problem. the symptoms are
Slide starts with a small image from slide 2 the load the correct one for VTCT courses
The other 3 slides do not load

video link to follow

Hi There,

That is because your CDN always loads the Slider3 first, so we are seeing it before the Slider4 shows up, which make sense because the slider3 is lighter than slider4.

If you can dictate the sequence of loading of this images, that will resolve the issue. If not, then set the Slider Settings > Performance and SEO Optimization > Lazy Load to Smart.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

You have not explained why the other slides do not load at all see the video again please

Hi There,

Sorry about that, I thought those other slides deactivated intentionally so we can directly see the loading error. (sorry my bad)

Ok, so that 2nd issue is 2 fold, 1) some of the slides are deactivated

  1. And there are broken HTML markup on your first and last slide.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!
