Problems using Pro Elements

Hi Themeco Team,

we detected some problems with the Pro Theme.

The top drop menu on this page see secure link
performs not well. Sometimes the submenu is not shown.
The initial load works not. When clicking on a menulink, and after that reloading the page, somestimes the sublevels are there. But not for sure.

Another phanomenon:
When clicking on Admin TOP menu on „Pro“ and „Edit Page“ no elements are one the page. I can see them in the side navigation on the left. But they are not active.

Working with the pro elements is sometimes okay when going over the TOP ADMIN MENU „Edit Page“ and then clicking on the Pro Main Element on the page.

New Page and loading templates

After loading templates into the page, nothing is inside the pro page. Only after the way described above: 1. Publishing Page 2. Edit Page 3. Click on the Pro element

Crash after installing the new 3.01.

Yesterday we installed the new 3.0.1. and the site crashed.

We installed the Stability Release 2.5.5. back again.

Hello @thegator,

Thanks for posting in!

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches since you are using WP Rocket so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

This links might help:

Hi, we installed the new updtae 3.0.2 - and cleared the WP Rocket cache and also the browser cache.
The menus are not working.
https://tennisgate.com and this menu https://www.tennisgate.com/menutest/

In the backend the menus are working. But not in the frontend.

Can you send a fix?

Hello @thegator,

Can you please temporarily deactivate WP Rocket and the Grid plugin? We need to check it because I am seeing a JS error on the page. It is probably coming from a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi, we installed back the versioon 2.5.5 and the main menu works on all pages. But the testst menu (drop down) works only in Admin Backend https://www.tennisgate.com/menutest/
The two plugins WP ROCKET and THE GRID are our main plugins which have to run on our site.

Hi @thegator,

I was checking your site and I think someone is there too  anyways I found out that its the plugin Cookiebot is the culprit of those menus (JS) issues.

Menu works if that plugin is deactivated.

Please deactivate that plugin for now and contact their support as we can’t provide support for 3rd-party plugins

Cheers!

Thx, Can you suggest a cokiee consent plugin that you know which does not have a conflict with Pro?

Hi @thegator,

Unfortunately, we’re not fully familiar with other plugins not related to the theme and bundled plugins. Though, it’s not normal for cookie plugin to cause this kind of issue since it’s not meant for menu or theme customization. It should work since it’s just a cookie plugin. Perhaps it happens that your cookie plugin has a feature that triggers javascript issue that also affects other functionalities.

I recommend a trial and error search for the cookie plugin.

Thanks!

Thx, i contacted the plugin support.

You are most welcome!
