Problem with X-Pro Child Theme

Hi there,

So basically i’m in the process of updating a lot of stuff for my website as it hasn’t been attended to in a while. My first issue was that envira gallery keeps crashing the website, but i worked around that a little bit to carry on for now. I’ve upgraded my package from the X theme (was using a child theme) to Pro, and updated it to the latest version too. Basically now i’ve run into some issues. Firstly, i appended the stuff in the style sheet when changing from X child theme to pro version, however im a little confused. In the instructions it states “change the template name to xpro” but that actually breaks the theme, ive had success just renaming the template name to “pro” but I just wanted to make sure that was correct.

The main issue though, is that now i’m trying to update to the latest Envira gallery plugin and getting tons of errors. The envira support advised me to rename all the plugins in my root folder to ‘enviraOLD’ and then delete the plugin and re-upload the latest version manually, however after renaming i cannot delete the plugin, nor any other plugins, nor can i update any other plugins or re-update the latest version of wordpress. I either get the error “Deletion failed: true” or “Update failed: true” or it just makes my entire page blank with only the word “true” written on the top line. This doesn’t seem like an envira gallery plugin issue anymore, it seems like something has broken all of my plugins/updates but i have no idea how to go about fixing it.

Also, i cannot provide a link or login details as i’m creating the site offline, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.) You are doing it correctly. Only pro is needed in the child theme’s style.css.
