Problem with website homepage loading

Hi there, I have a client who noticed her website was not loading this morning. It came up with an error on her homepage which reads: [“error”,"(#4) Application request limit reached"]

The site was working perfectly on Friday June 1 when I did a backup at 0023, but even after restoring the site from this backup, the homepage will still not load.

I have changed the homepage to a maintenance page for now as I have tried but failed to sort this out, so this is the page that is not working properly:

It would also not load in Cornerstone for me to try to fix it that way, so I am at a loss.

Can you please assist? I am not sure if this issue has arisen from the update to either X theme or Cornerstone or not. Cornerstone seems to be working just fine on other pages…

Hey Ali,

Thanks for writing in! Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:
- X theme 6.1.5
- Cornerstone 3.1.5

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

By the way, the error "Application request limit reached" is coming from facebook API. Did you have installed a plugin that displays a Facebook timeline, post, page etc? This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
