Problem with translated portfolio page

Hello,

Ik installed integrity and created a child theme under x with small adjustments to the protfolio view.
Everything look ok in the first langauge (Dutch) , but when I translate the page to English, this does not layout properly and it also displays code on screen.

I erased and re-created it, but this did not help.
The installation is the latest and has just been updated last week.
Please help to figure what is wrong here.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in.

What page has this specific issue? I checked and they are made in visual composer and displaying okay on both Dutch abd English language.

Thanks!

Hello,

It’s the English version of the portfolio page.
The Dutch version is working ok and the layout is as it is desired: http://fotospecialist.be/portfolio
But the English one is not: http://fotospecialist.be/portfolio/?lang=en

Kurt

Hi,

Upon checking, I can see you have updated your theme to latest version but forgot to update Cornerstone.

Please note that these two should be updated simultaneously to avoid any incompatibility issues.

Kindly update Cornerstone to version 2.1.7.

After updating make sure to clear your plugin cache and browser cache.

Hope that helps

Hello Paul,

Updating cornerstone should not have influence, the error occurred already before the update of themex.
Second: the page wasn’t even created with cornerstone, neither is any page in the website.

But follwoing your advice, as I predicted, the result is still an error even after the update and clearing cache.

Instead of pointing to other non relevant things that don’t make a difference and as a result postponing any solution,
I’d rather have you finding the error.
Please, I want some answers instead of ‘have you tried this or that’ replies.

Regards,
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

I have check and compare and notice that the masonry is not working on the translated page: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbXUf02xPa. Masonry as you can see control how the columns is working. It sets position too on the fly.

I tried to login via FTP to see the changes you have made on the portfolio view. Unfortunately, I am getting this error:

530 Login incorrect.
Error:	Critical error: Could not connect to server

Just to see if this customization doesn’t result to this issue, can you remove that customization, clear cache and then check again?

Hello Lely,

I checked, and with the child theme disabled, the error still occurs.
I don’t know what Masonry has to do with it, but it sure is not something I have changed.
The English page is an exact copy from the Dutch page.
And please read the above secure notes carefully. You have always been able to login.
Can you please look into this today?

Hello @kurtvs,

Another support staff here. While going through the ticket, website URL and credentials it seems that you have changed settings in domain control panel. Reason being on my end I see a website that is developed using Drupal not WordPress. I also tried to access FTP and there also I am unable to login because of incorrect credentials.

Can you please confirm?

Thanks.

I did not change anything. My god, please read the instructions or communicate with the people that worked on this before.
It says that teh website need to be accessed via a redirect in your hosts file because it’s not publice yet and on a new server.
The drupal is the old site.

Hi there,

I’m able to confirm your issue now, that’s because the English page became an archive page where the real portfolio is a page and must use a page template.

The reason is you changed your portfolio slug from to portfolio. I changed it back to portfolio-item. Please note that single portfolio is different from portfolio index, have the same slug will convert it to archive page due to conflicts with slug naming.

Thanks!

Hello Rad,

Glad to see it is finally solved, but I don’t see what you mean, because I didn’t change the page’s slug or template myself.
The English was an exact copy of the Dutch page.
Can you explain a bit more?

Thanks,
Kurt

Hi there,

Please go to X > Launch > Theme Options > Portfolio > CUSTOM URL SLUG, it should be portfolio-item or anything but shouldn’t be portfolio because of slug conflict. But you changed it to portfolio so I changed it back to portfolio-item.

Thanks!
