Problem with Slider Revolution Alt Atributes

Hi there,

why are the Alt-Attributes missing in all images of the Revolution Slider? I have entered these in the media library but these are not processed.

What can i do?

Thanks and best regards Blume

Hi There,

Please edit your slide and make sure the ALT an Title options are from The Media Library:

Also check you’ve already entered the ALT title from the media library:

If it still doesn’t work, would you mind providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

  • Link login to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks.

Hi there,

I think these settings are set correctly, yet the Alt-Attributes are still missing

i send you the login in a Secure Note

Thanks and best regards Blume

Hey Blume,

Sorry for the confusion. Thai didn’t know that a background image could not have an alt attribute.

Please add your image as a layer instead. Here’s the instruction: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/image-layers/

The Image Layer actually use the image tag and it gets the Alt Text you’ve set in the Attachment Details.

Hope that helps.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, this solution can not solve the problem. Although the actual image has an alternative text, the slider now generates images with names: transparent.png which in turn also lacks the alt attributes.
Is there a better solution to the problem?

Thanks and best regards Blume

Hello Blume,

When you use the image as a background image for each slide, you do not worry about the alt attribute because it will not be needed since the container is a div element and not as an image element. Alt attribute is only need when the image is displayed as an image element. In which case, when you use the image layer then that’s the time that the alt tags will be needed and displayed. I have checked your site and all of the image in your slides has its alt attribute.

Please let us know how it goes.
