Problem with Mailpoet/Mailpoet premium plugin

So everything was working fine. I sent out two newsletters without any issues. Suddenly, the mailpoet “send” button is disabled. I tried disabling all my plugins. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the plugin I tried it with the bundled mailpoet and/or mailpoet premium plugin activated, deactived, and either/or.

Nothing seems to be fixing it. Test emails send fine

Hello Justin,

Thanks for writing in! Do you have more than 2 thousand subscribers? Please be aware that you can only send to less than 2,000 subscribers. You will have to pay for the MailPoet Sending Service if you exceed that. For more details about this plugin, please check this out:

Hope this helps.

Yes, I have a question about that

  1. I am using Amazon SES, not sending through Mailpoet.
  2. I’m not sure how I was able to send before w/o incident. As you can see with the attached screenshot. I was able to send to 2,8k subscribers using SES, but now I am not. This is where my confusion lies. Nothing changed on my end except one day the send button stopped working. I was never a mailpoet premium subscriber, I only ever had the one bundled w/ my Pro subscription.

Hi Justin,

We like to help you with this, but what we understand is the issue is you’re limited to only 2,000 subscribers with the free version of MailPoet.

If you feel that this should not be because you’re using Amazon SES, please review your Mailpoet + Amazon SES setup / configuration and contact the Amazon SES support instead as they have a better look at what is going on with the emails.

Something might have change on their email deliver service that made this issue happen.

Thanks,

Hi, I think we’re miscommunicating. The issue is that the send button doesn’t work. Amazon SES is working perfectly. Also, don’t I have the premium version of mailpoet bundled with Pro that doesn’t need to be activated to work?

I’m so confused why it worked before without issue but now Mailpoet is spitting out errors and preventing me from pressing “send.”

The 2,000 subscriber thing suddenly appeared. It didn’t exist before days ago.

Hi Justin,

The strange part of this is how you could send it to more than 2000 subscribers before! As my colleague mentioned, the Maipoet version that is bundled with Pro has a limitation of 2000 subscribers. If you want to send more than that, Mailpoet offers an additional service for that, it is a subscription-based service and not related to the activation of the Mailpoet plugin.

You do not need to have the Mailpoet plugin activated as you already have access to the core plugin via Pro. But the additional service to send more than 2000 subscribes should be bought separately from the Mailepoet website.

Thank you for your understanding.

Is this new?

So the 2000 subscribers has to do with sending via SES or Mailpoet service?

I don’t understand. How was I able to send then without issue? And now I can’t??? Did Mailpoet just change this?

I am shocked that no one seems to know what’s going on. You seem to have less of an idea than I do.

I think I saw a reference to the problem elsewhere in this forum. I will link. https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/mailpoet-doesnt-activate-on-pro/59313/2

Hey Justin,

According to Mailpoet’s Sending Service documentation, the subscriber limit is not connected to Amazon SES. It’s linked to the Mailpoet Sending Service. See https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/181-comparison-table-of-sending-methods

I won’t dismiss however that something must have changed in your site or maybe on the side of Amazon SES as my colleague mentioned previously. It is almost impossible for a plugin to malfunction if it has not been updated. I know you said nothing has changed in your site but someone in your team might have updated something. Would you mind remembering your website activities before this happened?

I’ll clarify this case with the person in charge of reaching out to the bundled plugin developers if this is indeed a limitation in MailPoet.

Thanks.

Mailpoet was updated. But the mailpoet premium was not. That seems to be the issue. There is no problem with SES. I can see in the email log.

Thanks for letting us know, Justin. Are you using the latest version listed in our Version Compatibility list?

That’s MailPoet 3 Premium by the way.

If your version is not up to date, please update. Otherwise, please revert your site from a previous working state while we wait for feedback.

Thanks.
