Problem with get cart function

My site is down on the front end in chrome, but in Opera I get a home page only, all other pages return as 404 not found. On the homepage in opera is found this warning:

Notice: WC_Cart::get_cart_url is deprecated since version 2.5! Use wc_get_cart_url instead. in /hermes/walnaweb02a/b2183/moo.mredsandersnet/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3831

I had my homepage set up with the cart showing in the menu area. I have all available updates done with X theme and Woo Commerce.

Can you help me fix this error?

I am able to pull up the back end of wordpress, but not launch the X settings

additionally on the backend I am getting this:

Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

It seems that the offending file is the single product review template. I don’t know how to update that file…

After playing with the Appearance/Customize function I was able to load the X settings. I turned off the cart indicator but the site is still down in other browsers than opera.

I was thinking the updated X theme might be rolled back to the stability version so I did that, but it didn’t make a difference on the front end. Still cannot access the front end except in opera, other pages besides the home page are 404 not found.

The theme X is causing the difficulty, as I changed themes and my site comes back up. Any help is much appreciated. Regards, Ed Sanders

Thanks for writing in!

What you are seeing on the front page is a PHP notice. You can get rid of this by disabling the debug mode. You can do this by opening wp-config.php and edit define( 'WP_DEBUG' , false );. It must be set to false. When you revisit the page, you should no longer be seeing the notice.

And by the way, X 5.2.3 and Cornerstone 2.1.4 is already out in automatic updates. Please update to this latest version so that the message "Your theme (X – Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. " will be resolve.

Thank you. I updated the theme and am getting the home page on the front end, but other pages return a 404 error. Additionally the green padlock is missing and it says my site is not secure.

Many thanks for looking. The site was running as normal previously, and I’m not sure what is causing the pages to return a 404 error. I have another site with the same set up and it’s running fine…

I have disabled all plugins and reverted my theme back to twenty seventeen and still getting the 404 errors when I try to access the pages, with the green padlock missing and the site saying insecure.

This seems to be a hosting issue, and they are working on getting my green padlock back. They fixed the permalinks situation and my site’s pages are loading normally again. Thank you for looking. Regards, Ed SAnders
