Please try temporarily downgrading PHP lower than 7.0. Or, please ask your web host to turn off PHP 7.4 one by one to see if a new PHP feature conflicts with the function that causes the fatal error. Please keep in mind that this is a problem with PHP 7.0 - doesn’t happen on previous or later PHP versions. PHP 7.0 has been EOL for over 2 years (https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php) although some hosts keep supporting it with 3rd party patches.

I also check our issue tracker and this issue was already solved in our unreleased version.

Dear Prakash_s,

thank you for your detailed reply and willingness to help me with my problem, though I am afraid I am in over my head. I’m just a musician, not a website designer, and I have no idea what PHP is or how to contact my hosting provider. Using Wordpress is challenging enough for me and I hoped Theme X would make it easier. I also paid for Pro, an extra 20$, which I also cannot use at all.

I appreciate you help, but I think it best for me to just ask for a refund at this point. I am afraid I can’t find any other way of contacting support than this forum. Can you please advise?

Hi Gabriel,

Unfortunately, we can’t help you one this as we don’t have the option to update the PHP version. The version can be updated by the Hosting Service provider from where you have purchased the Hosting or Web space to host your files or website. I suggest you contact them to resolve this issue.
