Problem when publishing /sharing a blog post on Facebook

Hi,

We have a problem when we want to publish / share a blog post on Facebook. We post the blog post url and then we want the title and some text to appear on the Facebook post.

Unfortunately that’s not the case how it is working right now. Now the title text and sometimes our slogan are visible, but sometimes a text READ MORE is showing - strange, as we haven’t written that somewhere.

We are now using Yoast Premium to see if we could solve the problem but unfortunately it didn’t work :(.

Maybe, we are missing something, for example any setting? Maybe you can see what is wrong? Could it be something within the theme?

Hello Johanna,

Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you have two conflicting Open Graph tags in your site. You have mentioned that you install Yoast SEO plugin. Please make sure that you have disabled the built in Open Graph in the theme. Simply go to Pro > Theme Options > Social > Open Graph and check if it is disabled already. After making any changes, since you have installed a caching plugin BreezeCache, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
