Problem updating X on wordpress site

Having an issue updating the website to the latest version, I have had to restore the site back to an earlier version.

We were receiving a fatal error:

Did you updated the X Theme first? Usually an error exist when you forgot to update the Cornerstone plugin. Just make sure that everything is up to date. Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 9.1.4
  • Cornerstone 6.1.4
  • WordPress 5.9.2
  • PHP 7.4

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Hi, the hosting company server guys have said the conflict is with the cornerstone plugin - We need to download cornerstone again and reinstall. There full explanation in secure note. Please let us know where to find the plugin for download.

Having same problem. Already reinstalled Cornerstone, but still nothing working.

Hey @wikiconsultoria,

The issue has something to do with the compatibility between X and Cornerstone. Your X theme version is 7.2.3 while your Cornerstone is 5.3.3. That being said, I deleted the Cornerstone plugin and added the correct Cornerstone version that is compatible with X 7.2.3. Your website is now working properly.

On the other hand, I highly suggest updating your X theme and Cornerstone plugin to the latest version to avoid any security issues.
