Problem loading Cornerstone

Hello,

I’m having an issue opening Cornerstone content. I keep getting the following error message “A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading.”

I deactivated all plugins and just enabled Cornerstone and it still gave that error. Cleared the cache, and placed Cloudfare in development mode. Issue still persists.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

It’s due to rocket loader, would you mind providing your CloudFlare’s login credentials as well?

For the meantime, please check this https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/. That rule should make the Rocket loader exclude the builder’s assets from optimization. And I noticed that it’s not yet implemented in your CF (by viewing the source code).

<script type="text/rocketscript" data-rocketsrc="http://ivasays.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/tinymce.min.js" data-rocketoptimized="true"></script>

And please allow me to disable all cache plugin, too much optimization is not recommended.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

Sure go ahead and disable plugins as it’s recommended. I’ve edited the rule in Cloudfare based on the guide you provided. The login info is included, so you can check as well.

Thanks for the help!

Hi there,

Should be okay now, I also updated your page rules.

Thanks!

Hi,

So it worked once, now it’s back to the same error “A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading.”

I didn’t touch or edit any plugin, cloudfare, etc. from what you have done.

I went and edited a post, saved it, got the success message, and then on the refresh it got an error along the lines that it’s taking to long to load, issues with scripts. Then I tried to edit the post again, and got the Conflict on the front end" error.

Would you please kindly get back to us with the name of the exact POst you wanted to change?

Also kindly do a test by adding a new page and just simply add elements without any custom code.

See if it still has a problem, I wonder if you add any kind of Custom code on the page that might cause the problem?

Thank you.

The post is “Amazing Photos of Sicily to Soothe Your Soul.”

All posts have text, galleries (Essential Grid), 1 Raw content for Google Ads, Social Warfare buttons and a Related Posts.

And Cornerstone gives the same error on a new post. I can’t create any content with it since once Edit with Cornerstone is clicked an error shows.

Now the content of the site is not even loading.
On the home page the three dots continue to loop.

I am having a similar issue. Deactivated every plugin except Cornerstone and added the page rule to cloudflare. I either get the rocketloader spin continuously or i get skeleton mode due to an unidentified error. Is there anything else it could possibly be?

I turned off the Rocket Loader in Cloudfare, and so far I haven’t had issues opening or editing content with cornerstone, but the site is slower.

@tburroug87 Would you mind starting a new thread and provide your site’s URL, admin and CF login credentials in a secure note?

@krstikiv Have you tried clearing your browser cache? I checked it again and still working, cornerstone loads and preview works. Would you mind providing a video recording of the exact procedure so I can try it too?

Thanks!

@Rad For the original issue that Cornerstone wouldn’t load, here are the steps:
Precondition: Cloudfare RocketLoader is on automatic

  1. Login to site/wp-admin
  2. Enter credentials.
  3. Click on Posts.
  4. Scroll to the post “Amazing Photos of Sicily to Soothe Your Soul”
5a. Version 1: Hover over the title of the post and Select “Edit with Cornerstone.”
5b. Version 2: Click on the post title. Once the post edit screen opens, select "Edit with Cornerstoner’ (from the Text, Visiual, Cornerstone tabs).

For both versions the actual result is the same:
Actual Result: Cornerstone launches. A black loading circle is seen, the page regreshes and the cornerstone logo load few times. At this time the error “A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading” displays.

Now, as a mentioned last night, I turned off Rocketloader and there is no longer an issue with Cornerstone.

Is there a specific script that needs to be excluded from Rocketloader to get Cornerstone working if it’s in manual mode at least?

Hi there,

I already added the page rules to your CF to exclude all cornerstone scripts from rocket loader.

Plus, your site is randomly slow, there are times that even by just logging in is taking much time. It must be a performance issue in your hosting’s side.

Please check the video from my end.

Thanks.

Yes it’s working because Rocketloader is turned off in Cloudfare. Regardless of the Page Rule in Cloudfare, if Rocketloader is in Automatic Mode, then the issue happens.

Hi there,

Sure, here is a video recording while rocket loader is active.

Thanks!

@Rad

Video is attached of Rocketloader on and off with issue problem.

Hi there,

I’m not getting that issue anymore, with or without rocket loader. Please try it in another machine or browser, or perhaps use a private browser to make sure you’re not seeing the cache.

Thanks!
