Pro / Yoast SEO Completely Incompatible Now

I am using the latest versions of WP and Pro.

The incompatibility between X/Pro has gotten worse and worse. After the major update to Pro 6, the internal linking stopped working which I reported.

After the recent update to Pro 6.1.10, nothing is working with Yoast. Now when editing a post, Yoast “Prominent Words” see’s shortcodes and the text word count is zero. This is like trying to drive a car blindfolded!

What is going on? Am I the only business using Yoast with Pro?

How do I fix this?

If possible can we see the site? Might be something we can help you with. Our Yoast support isn’t exhaustive though so I wouldn’t expect too much. When you save that post in question does the analysis differ?

Hi @Charlie, I can confirm that it’s happening for my posts too, unfortunately. My posts go through the Wordpress backend because I’ve shifted to mostly a layout builder for posts and custom post types.

Hi there

I have the same issue! I work with Yoast Premium, which is the leading SEO tool for WordPress and unfotunately it is not working anymore with the Pro Builder! I am a big fan of THEMECO Pro Builder but sorry, this is a big issue!

Thank you very much for your help and for a solution for the problem!

Kind regards,
Felix

I have found the following article on the Yoast website:

In most cases, this is caused by a third-party page builder that you are using. Not every page builder allows us to see the content within the page builder, which bypasses the default editor. In that case, our plugin can’t see the words, so it is unable to analyze them.

Solution

Add content to the default editor and the word count will update automatically.

If you’re using a page builder that does not share its content, please contact their development team to request compatibility with the Yoast SEO analysis. They can learn more about this functionality here.

…hope this is helpfull!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Thank you very much for your reply!

Great, Yoast SEO works again with Pro!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hi Felix,

Glad to know that it is working now.

Thanks

Any progress on this issue? Still doesn’t work. Cleared Cornerstone Cache, Page Cache, etc

…it works with me! I have installed the latest version of Pro and it’s fine.

Thanks for the feedback and confirmation, @fbrugger.

This issue is not resolved yet… as @fbrugger wrote, IS A BIG ISSUE! Maybe he could find a runaround this, but for me, and maybe for @Emperor the bug’s still there. I have 21 sites using PRO and Yoast and this is something that I think must be solved asap.
Using PRO 6.2.3
Yoast 20.6

Please some advice.

Hello, is classic editor currently active on this site? There’s currently an issue right now where it won’t read the content when the classic editor is active. This would also explain the mix mash of sites that work and don’t work. I’ll have a fix for the classic editor, yoast, and Cornerstone in a release or two.

hello @charlie I use only Cornerstone to edit all the pages inside the website.

@rulogrunge Can you create another thread so I can check out the site? I’d try saving in Cornerstone again and then going back to this page too. This only happens if our Yoast plugin fails to render the shortcode content for Yoast to read. I’d also check if any of those pages / posts have errors through WP_DEBUG.
