PRO, WPML and more than one domain

Hi there,

I want to set up a multilingual Site, using the PRO Theme and WPML. As PRO is not listed in WPML’s “A List of Multilingual-Ready Themes, Compatible with WPML” I’d like to know if this is possible and supported.

  • If yes: I’d like to use two different domains to access the two languages, like example.de for the german version and example.com for the english version.According to the WPML manual this sould be no problem.
    Will this work with PRO or are there any problems about the two domains?
  • If no - is there any other multilanguage plugin that works with PRO?

Though it talks more about Cornerstone, in Pro theme, it is simply the Pro editor. And if you want to use separate domains for each language, it is best that you check out this link:

thank you for your help. As I already wrote, I knew the WPML-Manual about separate domains, but I liked to konow, if this setup (as described in your link) will work with pro?

Will I need a separate PRO-license for each domain? Or is it enough to have a license for the “master domain” with the wordpress backend?

Hi Uli,

You should not have any problems with the licenses because the translated domain is essentially the same website as the main domain so you can have the main/master domain validated using one license and still have the translated sites related to the main domain.
