i clicked upgrade to pro for my site. When I went to the site dashboard nothing changed dont see any new options. What about if I have a child theme installed?

Yes, I can see you did the upgrade. Upgrade means that on this license, you are now entitled to Pro theme. On your dashboard here: https://theme.co/apex/dashboard you can now download Pro theme. This action will not alter anything on your site yet. This means, you can download the Pro theme and you can install and activate it on your site using that license.

Ok I just found the child theme and activated it seems all my css code was in the child pro theme.
