Can you tell me if the pro version of X theme has more options to style widgets than the regular version? I would like an easy way to set colors and text size without writing html etc.

Customizing widget are not part of the features Pro offers. Pro has the header and footer builder where you can create your custom header and footer and assign then globally or to specific pages.
