Pro Theme Not Compatible with WooCommerce Recommendation Engine

Just an FYI - your theme overrides the number of columns set in the WooCommerce Recommendation Engine plugin. If 4 columns are set, Pro still displays two columns with the resulting way too large images. It then wraps the additional columns below the first row of two.

Items in the Recommendation Engine categories should be displayed exactly as you display WooCommerce’s built-in related products.

Hi there,

As you may already know 3rd party plugin compatibility issues are out of the scope of our support, but we will inform our development team regarding this.

Thank you for your understanding.

As you may know, 3rd party plugin issues - especially those with official WooCommerce plugins - are something you should be a bit more concerned with since it reflects poorly on your theme. When we experience issues like this and then the dev is nonchalant about it and hides behind the 3rd party plugin nonsense, it’s basically like screaming “We don’t care! Please give your $60 to someone else please!”

Hi there,

There could be hundreds or thousands of 3rd party plugin and there is no way we could predict any incompatibility. We’re also relying on users report, we could test it but will take time. Plus, some of them are using a different standard that isn’t applicable to our theme. But one thing for sure, our theme is based on Woocommerce standards, but given that other developers could integrate their plugin in Woocommerce in so many ways, then we can’t really tell beforehand its compatibility. And thanks for reporting this issue and our developer should be checking it.

Thanks for understanding.

hi, i am using the x theme, and this problem is still happening in 2020. Thanks

Hi Yat,

The X is compatible with WooCommerce, but it doesn’t mean that it is compatible with all WooCommerce addons. They are not tested with our themes.
Therefore, we can’t guarantee a fix but we’ll be interested to know why our theme is causing such issues you described if proven. To make sure that is our theme related issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot a few common issues:

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Testing for Plugin Conflict
  3. Child Theme Issue

Please let us know how the mentioned plugin works after activating any default theme like TwentyTwenty.
If you find any issues that are related to any 3rd Party plugin(s) confliction, I would suggest you contact the author on that case.
If that does not help you, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
