Pro Theme broken - no access in dashboard

I have lost all my theme PRO access from my dashboard and I can’t get back into edit custom CSS. The site I’m working on is completely broken at the moment and stuck on X_TITLE ? I was using PRO: Integrity

I’ve been trying to set up woocommerce transfer today and I think this plugin took me into the a different customiser to edit parameters. When I published the site broke and I no longer have PRO in my dashboard options.

Can you have a look and let me know what’s caused this conflict and how to fix the problem.
I have a backup from earlier today as a last resort but I would loose all the amends from the last 12hours. I didn’t save out a copy of my CSS from today and would be painful to have to redo.

Thanks

Hi,

The login provided doesn’t seem to work.

Please try re-installing your theme.

  1. Create Full backup of your site https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/
  2. Visit Appearance > Themes in your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Temporarily switch to one of the WordPress default themes.
  4. Delete PRO. Your settings and content will be safe, since they are stored in the database, not the theme files.
  5. Use Add New, then Upload Theme to reinstall PRO from the pro.zip file.

Thanks

The login should work now - password needed updating.
I will follow your instructions and let you know how I get on.

Delete PRO. Your settings and content will be safe, since they are stored in the database, not the theme files.
Use Add New, then Upload Theme to reinstall PRO from the pro.zip file.

I am using a child theme - should I delete and reinstall this also?

Thanks

I have deactivated and reinstalled both Pro & Pro Child themes and reactivated.

Pro is now back in the dashboard but I don’t have as many options as previous in the drops downs etc. When I try and edit or copy the CSS it will only allow me to select one line at a time.

Unfortunately the content is also still broken and I get the following message when trying to edit in cornerstone.

A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading.

I don’t have any caching plugins installed and I’m getting alot of 404 errors when I look at chrome.dev.tool
When I look at my library and server all the posts and are present in the library and on the server, when I try to open them in a browser I get 404 page.

This has happened straight after Cornerstone opened X instead of PRO and I published through that, without realising what had happened. It was actually the footer I published.

I’ve deleted the X theme now so it can’t happen again.

Is there anything in CSS that could cause this? I’ve been trying to get my head round what other areas to check.

• installed an update of woocommerce plugin yesterday - this was the only new plugin.
• uploaded Cart2Cart directory on the server named ‘bridge2cart’ had to change some permissions to folder and content - but this has since been deleted.

My ISP installed SSL certificate on my server but this is on myoshka.com and don’t think it covers sub-domains blog.myoshka.com. Neither http:// or https:// are working currently.

I’m not sure what to do other than reinstall my backup. Which if I can copy out my CSS would be less painful.

Any assistance appreciated.

Hey @myoshka,

The content builder is working fine upon checking (see Secure Note).

The options are complete.

I can copy all of the CSS and not just one line.

Would you mind providing more details of the issues you’re experiencing. It would be best you open one thread for each so could focus on one issue at a time.

Thanks.

I managed to get everything back by reinstalling PRO + child theme

and then restoring backup of the uploads.

The CSS editor worked fine, once everything was put back as it was reinstalled.

It was smush that auto-ran and deleted my entire uploads library somehow.

Thanks

You are most welcome.
