Can you please check once by updating the Pro into the latest version i.e 4.1.3 and let us know if that the issue still exists. If that exists, I would suggest you resolve the PHP errors in your staging server and install the Envira Gallery plugin to investigate it without breaking your live server.

Gallery Lightbox Theme “Dark” still scraps html in caption and/or decription… no link visible. But I can live with that… So thank you very much for your effort!
