Pro Testimonial Slider Not Displaying On Front End

Hi,

I have a slider in a grid which is not displaying on the front end, but is performing fine in the admin / Cornerstone view. I have cleared the cache and disabled all plugins, but the behaviour remains.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hello Christopher,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we cannot check the page element settings in the backend because the given password is not working for us. Please double check it and have it updated.

Meanwhile, I noticed that you are using a global block. Did you use any Loopers as well? It seems that the whole cell is not displayed. It could be a looper issue. Please do check your Looper settings again.

Best Regards.

Hello @ruenel,

Happy New Year! My apologies for the credentials not working. They had not saved correctly, but are now fully working (same credentials as in the original post.

This is a former Global Block, which has been converted to a Component in v6. The Component also uses a Looper.

I have looked at the Looper and all the syntax seems to be correct. It also displays properly in the admin view, but not for the public.

In addition, I have found a problem with the Woocommerce Shop Layout. It seems to be broken and brings no content through. Please see the screenshot below. This seems to be broken since v6 for some reason. The Woocommerce Layout is called “Shop Layout”.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hey @whitemedia,

I have checked your Component and I found out that the Slider cell is set as a Looper Consumer.

Deactivating the Looper Consumer option in that particular Cell element should resolve your issue. As for your Shop layout, you will need to disable the Looper Provider. The WooCommerce shop index has its own looper. You only need to consume whatever is returned by the WooCommerce Loop. Nesting a Looper inside the shop index may not work.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel,

Thanks for the help in getting the Component working again.

The Woocommerce Shop Layout had been working fine in Pro v5 with the three separate product categorizations on the shop index, so presumably there has been a subtle change in the mechanics of v6.

Thinking forward, @kory and @charlie, is it possible for a feature request for the Woocommerce shop index that this sort of categorization, rather than returning all products in an unfiltered list?

Many thanks,
Christopher

Hey @whitemedia,

In Pro 5.1.5, yes, nesting a Looper Provider would work so I’ll try to replicate this issue in my test site and report to our dev team any findings.

Thanks for reporting.

Thanks @christian!

I have found a few things that seem to be different from Pro 5.1.5, all to do with Woocommerce.

One of the main ones is to do with Cart, Checkout and Account pages. If memory serves me correctly, in 5.1.5, the Layouts for these pages could be done using “Single” and the conditions being set to “Page (Specific)”. They all worked fine in 5.1.5, but after updating to 6.0 these layouts are broken and need to be created as “Woocommerce Single”. I wonder if this is the same for you in your testing.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hey Christopher,

I’ve confirmed the two cases, so I’ll report them to our development team.

Thanks for reporting.
