Pro Sticky Header Jumping - Even with Double Bars

Hi -

I’ve attempted to follow the direction given to other uses for the smooth top bar when scrolled (2nd bar remaining hidden). However, it still jumps. Could you have a look please and advise?

Hello @scottdforeman,

Thanks for writing in! When I check your site, this is what I am seeing:

Are you getting the same results as I did? Please create a video screenshot and walk us through the issue that you are referring to.

Best Regards.

Yes, that’s what I see also. But what you’re seeing is the header disappearing briefly as the page scrolls. What I want is for the header to not disappear briefly - to stay intact in the same spot as the page scrolls.

Hello @scottdforeman,

If you need a sticky header, you will have to use Relative position and it should not be hidden initially. You might want to check this out:

I have created a demo header so you can compare the needed element settings for your custom header.

Thanks.

Thank you for this! I appreciate your time and attention!

I went row by row, column by column, and applied the exact settings that you had (again, thank you for this). However, I realized that the jumping both in your example and now in mine, occurs when the screen magnification (using Chrome) is below 100%. If the magnification stays at 100% we’re good - but could you provide a fix to prevent it from doing the ‘jump’ below 100%?

Hello @scottdforeman,

Regretfully we do not have any control over the magnification because it is browser-related rendering already.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sorry - I’m not really understanding your response. The header bar will not jump when at 100% - but anything below 100% and it jumps. This seems like a developer problem and not a browser problem. I can’t accept the fact that the browser has to be at 100% for the header to not ‘jump’. Please provide another solution.

Hello @scottdforeman,

When I magnify my browser, I am not seeing any issues. Check this out:

Please create a video screencast so we can see what you are seeing as well.

Thank you.
