Pro: Parallax bkg image shaking during scroll

Hi there,

I am using pro version, and after I set section bkg image and enabled parallax, during scrolling, the bkg image shakes very severely.

I see that the parallax moves pretty smoothly in your demo, but your demo is using normal X with cornerstone. So do you have any demo with Pro version? Is this a known issue with Pro ?

Hey @raywu,

I don’t see the parallax background shaking in my test site. Can you give us a screen recording of what you’re experiencing on your end? Also, please give us the URL of the page where you’ve set the parallax background.

By the way, with normal X & cornerStone, I still see the parallax shaking issue.

But for the Home page of demo Auto, the parallax in ‘Services’ section doesn’t have this issue. Seems this section is a special one, because I noticed it has different ‘Inspector’ settings. Could you please tell me how to create this kind of section?

Hi there,

Please provide the page’s URL that has this issue and I’ll check it too. And please try having 2 sections with parallax only, make the rest of the page as standard background and content. Parallax is javascript controlled and having tons of parallax CPU intensive, which is why parallax is inactive on mobile, it’s not smooth there due to mobile performance.

Even if only one parallax exist, it still has this kind of issue.

The website is still under development, it’s not online now, I’m sorry.

But it’s very easy to reproduce, for the ‘Auto’ demo you provided, just add a new section, and set its background image, and a header, then you can see the shaking issue.

Please use the attached image as background, it’s easier to distinguish.

(By the way, the Auto demo itself doesn’t have this issue. Is it a special section?)

Hi there,

I found ‘Add Classic Section’ works fine, ie. the parallax doesn’t have shaking issue.

But ‘Add Section’ always have such issue.

Hi,

Sometimes, it shows ‘+ADD SECTION’, and sometimes it shows ‘+ADD Classic Section’. I don’t know how I can control that. Is there something that I miss ?

Hi There,

Sorry, but I can not replicate that parallax shaking issue on my end, I’ve tested it on both Classic and V2 section and different combination of lower & upper layer background configuration but no luck. If you cant provide the page URL, would you mind providing us the page template (.csl file) so we can take a closer look? And besides the sections what other 3rd party content you have on the page? If it has any, try removing it and see if that resolves the issue.

+ADD SECTION (V2 section) is the default and that’s what we recommend. But in some cases, if you need to +ADD Classic Section, press and hold the CTRL (Command on MAC) and click the add section.

Even if I just add a new v2 section to the Home page of your ‘Auto’ demo, this issue happens. So seems it’s not introduced by 3rd party content.

Hi There,

Please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Also, If you have custom JS on page JS or Theme Options > JS, try removing it and see if that resolves the issue.
