Pro & Paid Membership Pro - Member Menu & Header Builder

I use Paid Membership Pro on many sites and love the features that come with X - Pro, but building those awesome headers limit be. Paid Membership Pro has the ability to change menus based on whether or not they are logged in, however when I specify a menu for a page, I have to pick an inline navigation for that page and that breaks this functionality.

This becomes a problem when I have universal pages I want to offer to both members and non-members: About, Contact, FAQ, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Shop, Product Categories, and Products.

Is there anyway to preserve the logged in menu functionality and use the Pro header builder?

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! At the moment, the Pro theme custom header builder does not support Paid Membership Pro plugin. The menu that is assigned in the custom header will use it and not the one from the 3rd party plugin. Regretfully there is no way you can swap the menu as of this moment using that plugin. Perhaps you can try using Menu Swapper (https://wordpress.org/plugins/menu-swapper/)

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your quick response :grinning:. I thought that might be the case. That functionality would be incredible to have and I’m sure I’m not the only person who would like that. Hopefully, you find a way to integrate that soon.

Thanks again,
-Phil

Just a side note, Menu Swapper seems to do what I can already do within the Pro Header builder. The issue I need is to have the ability to have a custom menu based on membership level. The plugin already works within Paid Membership Pro on the standard X Theme Menu. I understand it won’t work within the Pro Builder. So, the only other question I had was: Is there a way to embed shortcodes for pro (cornerstone) elements into the header? Specifically the Navigation Modal element? Thanks again.

*Update Sep 14, 2018 - If you set your menu to the Primary Menu and not the title of your menu, it will automatically swap out based on user level. The functionality is based on the fact that Paid Memberships Pro sets up a new Primary Menu for members that you can check when you use their extension.

Hi There,

The shortcode for Navigation Modal is available, but it will only pull the data of the current post/page. Hence, copying it to another page where data is not present will not work as of now. But our developers are already aware of it and maybe it will be possible in the future updates.

Thanks.
