I have Pro and wanted to use an original header until I created a new header in the builder. Unfortunately, this resulted in my main header now not appearing. Please enlighten me as to how to get the original to show.
Hello Tim,
Thanks for writing in!
As your are using the Pro Theme header builder, it will override the default Header. If you want to have default header, then rather than assigning Header designed using Header Builder as a global header, assign the same to specific pages where it’s required. Doing so, will automatically show the default header on pages that are not designed using Header builder.
Next, to see why default header is not showing up even though Pro header builder was not in use, I activated the Pro Parent theme under Appearance > Themes and I can now see the default header. So it’s the customization that in the child theme hiding default header.
Please remove the changes that’s made in child theme and should fix the problem. Here’s a screenshot for the website having header (when Pro parent theme is active).
Thanks.
The changes resulted from us trying to implement Google Tag Manager in the child theme. I checked and edited the implementation of the GTM with the following thread but I’m still seeing an issue.

I am having the same issue I’ve added GTM to child theme, header and footer disappear. If I choose parent theme they reappear. Problem is, I need GTM to work.
It seems like I may have worked out my issue after implementing a Pro Headers global header.
Seems you’re right…now I have to recreate the header and footer. Seems like it should have been carried over, but I guess I’ll look at it as a chance to learn how to use the template editor. Cheers.
Great!
