Pro moving bars from top to bottom

I am wondering about moving elements in the Pro Header builder. So, a Bar from the top area to bottom or a container from one bar to another or an element to a different container.

Is there any way to do this? If not is it a possible feather that could be added?

At the moment the bar moves visually, but you can’t edit it and if you save it goes back to where it was. It’s just that is I style a nice element and then need it to be somewhere else I need to style it all over again.

Thanks.

It would be nice. I have tried to do it also and find a way to do in the backend; doesn’t work, unfortunately.

Hi There,

Thanks for your feedbacks, expect new features that will allow more flexibilitiy on editing and saving your header and footer templates on the next full version update.

Cheers

can’t wait

Thank you

As we have 2020, I am wondering if there are updates or solutions to this?
Thanks

Hello Ming,

Thanks for updating the thread. As of the moment, this is still not possible. Our developers are on this looking for ways of improving the header builder.

Please bear with us.

So, there you have your answer. I was about to reply saying ‘good luck on getting any updates’. The Pro header and footer are great, but there is just never enough updates and progress to improve this as a product. I started with Pro years ago, thinking it was the ‘bright future’, but I’ll retire in 20+ years before it is a complete and great page building solution at this rate. Which is very disappointing.

Hey @theapricot and @mingento,

We’re very sorry our previous answer is incorrect. Ruenel wasn’t aware that you already can move elements since the Layout Pane was introduced starting in Pro 3.0.0, X 7.0.0, Cornerstone 4.0.0. That was more than 3 months ago.

We understand that it looks like there’s not enough progress but our development team is working hard on creating new features. The Layout Builder is the next major addition. It will allow users to build single and archive pages.

Watch the demo in the video below.

You can move elements in the Layout Pane.

For Top Header to Bottom Header transfers, you can do it in the builder preview.

Hope that helps.

Oh, I so Pro doesn’t update in WordPress, I have to go search the web for the updates. Who would ever release a theme that doesn’t update through WordPress from version 1.0? So glad I switch to Divi for my new sites, a single license, for life, for all sites.

Hey @theapricot,

Our apologies for the inconvenience regarding the update. One of the bugs addressed in version 1.0.0 was Pro could not automatically update. This has been fixed allowing version 1.0.1 and later to receive updates, but if you are running version 1.0 now, you will need to manually update.

Choosing a builder is a matter of personal workflow and pricing preference. I personally must admit that the price is appealing but the page building workflow is not good for me.

Thanks for your feedback.
