Pro - JavaScript error on widgets screen in admin

Hi there,

I couldn’t find any report of this anywhere else so I thought I’d report this JavaScript error I’m getting on the widgets screen at /wp-admin/widgets.php with Pro 1.1.1. There are absolutely no widgets or plugins activated, only Pro.

Hi There,

Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Hope it helps.

He said already that there were no plugins or even widgets enabled. This error comes from X itself, and it’s causing me troubles using other widget functionalities and plugins in the Widget page because of this javascript error.

Hi @foxviewr,

Thanks for writing around! Are you too using Pro 1.1.1? Please update the theme to the latest version to avoid potential errors. You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

Let us know how this goes!

Hi @Nabeel,

Thank you for reach so quickly

I’m using the X-Theme version 5.2.3 (latest version).

The error reported is happening as well on the X-Theme when accessing the widgets page (wp-admin/widgets.php) and it’s causing conflicts with other functionalities. You can find a print of the error here: http://prntscr.com/h6kzgn
I already tried to install the X-Theme on a clean wordpress site (no plugins enable) and the same error happens.

Hi There,

Thank you for the information. I can see the error and I will add it on our issue tracker. Although I did some testing and I can’t find any conflict with functionalities yet. Though yes, the error exist and needs to be address. If you can provide details on where it is causing conflicts, that would really help. Thank you and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

It certainly exists, seems to originate from Pro, and it is effecting functionality in external plugins, For instance, Extended Widget Options plugin.

PLEASE prioritize - this is an active bug with implications.

Hi @SBLOOM ,

Thanks for writing around! It has been added to our tracker.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi there,

I’m no longer getting this error in the latest version of X or Pro (in WP 4.9).

Thanks!

Glad that you got back the Widgets functionality.

Everybody, for future cases, if you encounter any problems like this, kindly open up a separate thread and give detailed information about your environment so that we can focus on your issues.

Thanks everyone.
