Pro Headers

Hello,

We’re trying to add an accordion element to our shop page using a header. However, when doing so with the Pro Headers, it replaces the Global header entirely. Is there any way that it can just be added under the elements that we have in the Global header or maybe use the global header as a template of a pro header and add elements from there? Thank you.

Hello @Mangtum,

Thanks for writing in! Please duplicate your global header. The newly duplicated header will then have to be edited and add your accordion element. After doing that, you will then need to assign this header to he shop and all WooCommerce related pages by assigning it in Pro > Headers.

Please check this out: https://theme.co/docs/header-footer-overview#how-to-assign-the-header-footer

Hope this helps.

Hello @ruenel

Thank you for your response.

We are currently using the Original Header and not the Pro Headers. Is there any way that the Original Header be used as a template to the Pro header so that we can just assign it globally and add elements as we see fit based on the page that we’d use it to?

header

Thank you.

Hello @Mangtum,

Regretfully you cannot add any element into the Original Header. Keep in mind that the Original Header is the built in default header designed for the theme. We highly recommend that you create a custom header and replicate the original header so that you can add whatever element that you need to the header.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi @ruenel

Looks like a plan. We have a carousel on the global header but there’s no element on the pro header to add this. Would you be able to please let us know how we can achieve this on the pro headers. You will be able to see it on https://dev.mangtum.com/ just under the main menu.

Thank you.

Hello @Mangtum,

When check your shop page, I am seeing this. Do you intend to add the accordion element in the red area?

This is what I am referring to that you create a custom header and replicate the original header so that you can add whatever element that you need to the header. By the way, I only see a carousel in your homepage. How did you added it? It seems that you have modified the template file override and added it in your child theme.

Hope this helps.

Hi @ruenel

Thank you for your response. Yes, it is. We’re considering adding a slider instead of the carousel and achieve the same effect through the pro header.

All the best!

You’re welcome, @Mangtum. Glad we’re able to help.
