Pro: Header builder won't load

Hi there,

I’ve got 2 headers of 3 in the Pro Header building that will not load and are giving the below error. A new test header will load and the content builder will load but only the two headers I need access to are not working.

We updated the site to https in the last week - no plugins associated with https, checked general settings and both urls there are updated and correct.

A little help please…

Hi @Deesign,

Thank you for writing in, it seems not all URL entry on your database has been updated to https, I installed and run a plugin called Better Search Replace to see if there are still http on your database and it does (please see screenshot below).

You can resolve that issue by following the guide provided here. (Don’t forget to keep a backup to play it safe)

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Thank you @friech

I followed the steps, backed up, downloaded the backup file in case, activated the plugin you installed ran the two search and replace on the link above cleared the cache and still the two header builders will not load for me - I’ve got the same error.

The new one works fine - only the 2 previous headers will not open in the builder.

Next steps?

Hi @Deesign,

I have checked your website and found the issue you described, even I have checked it by duplicating the problematic Headers and it shows the same issue. There might be some different reasons behind your issue, I would like to suggest troubleshoot the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3.Child Theme Related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
5.Disabling Cache
5.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps and you are still getting the issue, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

I can go ahead and follow all those steps but really if Header 3 is loading the builder and Header 1 and 2 are not than this points to something internal - yes?

Hello @Deesign,

The issue occurred when you added SSL to your site. Please set it up correctly by installing the Really Simple SSL plugin. This plugin should help you troubleshoot and properly fix the mixed content issues that have been going on your site at the moment.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thank you @ruenel - we followed this advice and loaded the RSS plugin and ran all of it’s suggested settings but still not luck with access the pro header (new headers are working - only the preexisting header gives us an error message)

Footers made before installing the SSL are not having the same issue.

We ran a few other SSL scans and could not identify the issue - please advise urgently.

Hello @Deesign,

I have logged in and redo the search and replace process. You can now edit all the custom headers even those you have created prior to switching to the SSL.

Check your headers now.

Thank you @ruenel - we did that search and replace following the instructions above several times and didn’t have the same results… your magic touch!

Happy to have access to the headers again - many thanks!

Dee

It could be cache-related in the way the first time. Glad things sorted out now.

Cheers,
