Pro Global Colors Bug

Hi,
on a customers website there is a strange bug:
One of my globally defined colors under Theme Options > Navigation > Colors

  • is empty
  • has no little popup with the name of the color on mouse over
  • brings the error message when I click on it: “Uh oh! Details helpful to Themeco support can be found in the browser’s developer tools console.”
    Screenshots in secure note.
After the bug it is not possible to enter the global color widget. The error message appears. I have to reload the page.
    Hope you can help!

Hi Hannes,

It is not very clear what exact problem you are having with the Global Colors. While assigning the colors in the attributes you can find the predefined Global Colors in the Color Palette, are you having difficulties in assigning those colors to the attribute? If not, I would request you make a screen casting video to understand what are the steps you are doing and what exact problem you are getting on that. We may also need to investigate it through the WordPress admin dashboard, but before that, I would suggest you go through the following troubleshooting to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue ** if you have activated it.
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps and you are still getting the issue, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Specific Page where you are having this problem.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

It is in the color palette.
One of the colors is buggy.
I send you the credentials in a secure note.

Hi Hannes,

Thanks for sharing the credentials.
I have checked the Color option and found the problem you are having. I have also added a new color and set it to Transparent, but it worked perfectly fine. I have also tried to replicate the same in my local environment and everything works perfectly. While clicking into the color, it shows many JavaScript errors, while the new one does not show anything. If you can remember, I would request you explain the steps while you have added this color and how you start getting this error, it helps us to replicate and debug it.

Thanks

Thank you. Unfortunately I cannot remember any certain circumstances while setting the faulty color.
The color panel isn’t complicated. You just set a color.
I just wanted to set a color and then it was faulty.
Could you please delete the color from the database?

Hi Hannes,

I went ahead and delete the color added wrongly. You can also delete any color by Holding Shift and clicking on the Delete icon.

Thanks

Great, thank you!

Hi Hannes,

Thanks
