Pro general setting for headlines and texts

Hello,

we have a question for the gerneral settings in Pro for the headlines and texts.

We are not sure if it is not generally easier to style headlines and texts via CSS? Up to now, we have always done all styling in the Pro settings, but this caused some difficulties when it came to changing font sizes on individual pages like the blog, for example.

Our question would be, what would you recommend in general? The styling of headlines and texts via CSS or via settings in Pro? Generally both options are possible.

Thank you and best regards

Maxi

Hello @l_eckardt,

Thanks for writing to us

I would suggest you use the setting for the styling custom CSS code my cause issue and it would override the default styling and behaviour of the theme and builder. If there is no option for styling you can use custom CSS code to achieve your layout.

Thanks

Hey @prakash_s,
thanks for your swift reply. Let me follow up with a more precise question:

When using the theme and builder for formatting headlines, what is the “perfect” setup for the formatting of headlines and text?
So that you only have to make these settings in one place and not in every headline element from scratch.

And how to make it, that if you then want to change the headline size of the H1 by 2 px at some point, for example, you don’t have to do that in all headline H1 elements?
Is there anyway you can add such a individual change? Or is the only solution to add CSS?

Thank you and best regards

Maxi

Hi Maxi,

I suggest that you will create a headline and applied all the settings you want then save the headline settings as a preset. After saving the headline settings into a preset, you can now use the preset settings to the other headline by applying the preset.

On the other hand, you can change the headings size individually. Just go to your Text > Text > Text Format.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hey @marc_a,

I got your point, thank you for that!

But what can we do if we want to change the size of the Headline H1 by 2 px at a later date and this change shall be applied to all H1 already existing on the website? So the change is only applied to all H1 and the H2 up to H6 stay the same.

Thank you and best regards

Maxi

HI @l_eckardt,

That’s the time that you will use a custom CSS code that applies to any header from H1 to H6 because we don’t have an option in our theme option to set font size for the headline globally.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
