Pro Footer Text or Content causes footer to stop working

I am creating a footer for my site which is a simple design. Two columns - left side has some contact details, right side has an image and copyright text.

The problem I am having is that I can add my image in the right column no dramas. I can add text fine too, but if I put a link in the text that is set to open in a new window (target="_blank") the whole footer stops working. I have inserted the link both manually in the code and also using the wysiwyg chain icon, either way it does the same thing.

So I think you might have a bug somewhere.

I tried in my local setup and I can’t seem to replicate the issue that you have mentioned.

Would you mind checking the content of your footer and make sure that the HTML you used are properly paired and closed.
