Pro Footer Not Displaying On Edge & Safari + Sticky Header Not Always Displaying

Hi,

I am getting some strange results for the footer and sticky headers in some browsers.

The Pro footer does not display at all on Edge and Safari (iPhone 11 Pro). All I get is the default footer which appears with a fresh installation of Pro, before any custom footers are designed and assigned to the website. The conditions for the footer are “Entire Site” and with priority -1.

Additionally, I am getting issues with the sticky headers, which do not always display.

Finally, In my headers, I have a white line at the bottom of the header bar, but it is hidden behind the menu and logo (pictured is the Desktop - Sticky menu). How can I bring the line to the foreground, please?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hello @whitemedia,

Thanks for writing in!

In your Bar element settings, make sure that your border color is solid and does not have any opacity. You can also increase the border width to 2.

By the way, on which page did you encounter the issues? I have checked all your pages and I do not see any issues.

Best Regards.

Hi @Ruenel,

Thank you for the help with the header border.

The footer issue is still happening for me on both iOS Safari and Edge on Windows. On Chrome it seems fine. I have tried clearing the browser’s cache and changing the footer’s priority, but I am still getting the default blank Pro footer showing.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi @whitemedia,

I have checked your footer problem and found that the default footer is showing in the Chrome too if you are not logged in. This type of issue mostly happens due to the Server Level Cache, I would suggest you contact your hosting provider to purge all the server level cache.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi,

The web host has confirmed that there is no server level cache in place, so that cannot be the cause of the issue.

There is currently no caching plugin activated and I have also cleared Cornerstone’s cache. Pro has been updated to 6.2.1. The problem still persists. Any ideas what else could cause the problem?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi,

I have found the cause of the footer problem. Deactivating the Under Construction plugin lets the footer display as expected. It seems there may be a bug with Under Construction?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

We have already recognized the issue with said plugin and fixed it in the latest release.

Thanks

Hi,

I have the latest current release installed - Pro 6.2.1 - and it still exists. Maybe I have misunderstood that the next release will fix the bug?

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

Please make sure that you have deleted the existing plugin and reinstalled it from Pro > Validation > Extension. If you have already updated it, I will check with our development team on this and inform them that the problem still exists.

Thanks

Hi,

I have deactivated and deleted Under Construction and then reinstalled it. Pro is on version 6.2.1, as previously mentioned.

The problem still exists for non-logged in users.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for confirming it. I will check with our development team.

Hi Christopher,

I just talked to Charlie and the issue will be fixed in the upcoming release.

Thanks

Hi @Tristup,
Thanks for the clarification from @charlie. :grinning:
