Pro editor window closes / disappears

Hi,
When I edit a page with Pro, the side window editor appears at first as expected. As soon as I click on an element or section or any area of the page, the side editor window closes/disappears and I am unable to open it. I can edit text on page but the side bar editor disappears as soon as I click on anything.

Running WP 5.0.2, Pro 2.4.6.

Please advise.

Thanks for reaching out.

Are you referring to the text element’s editor? I just tried it and I’m still able to open the editor. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note? I’ll check it first as this could be specific to your setup.

For the meantime, you could try testing for a plugin conflict as the issue could be javascript related as well. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Thanks for providing the credentials. I’ve checked your pages and clicking on any element does not close the sidebar (see the secure note).

Is this happening in a specific page? Also, what Operating System and browser are you using? Please also give us the OS and browser version number.

Thank you for looking. I have tried several pages and the sidebar closes on all of them. Also tried another one of my sites and I am getting the same result of the sidebar closing.

Using macOS Mojave 10.14.2. Safari 12.0.2

Just tried it on Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98 and it works. Safari seems to be the issue.

Hi @cmelnik,

I tried it on Safari Mac too and it’s not happening, or perhaps it’s due to the version as I still use the older one. I’ll see if I can update mine and test it. For the meantime, please try clearing your Safari cache in case it’s still related to it.
