Pro doesn't scroll via touch

Hi there,

So, I’ve noticed that you can’t scroll at all with Pro items using some touchscreen devices (only checked header so far)

From the Pro Editor to the elements you use, you can’t use a touchscreen device to scroll to the next thing.

Ex. I used a content area modal and off campus, and had a list that past the view of the window. I can scroll perfectly fine with a keypad or mouse, but for touchscreen devices, I can’t scroll. That means the users can’t see the bottom of the list. I’d have to custom build a modal or off campus menu myself.

Device: Touchscreen Laptop.
Browser: Chrome

As for Mobile, I’ve tested it. The mobile scrolls badly. It’s not smooth nor fast.

Hi J,

Thank you for writing in, I tested it on my local site and can touch scroll the Content Area Modal element. Maybe this is specific to your device, what mobile device did you test it on? I tested it with Android.

And please provide us the site URL so we can take a closer look.

Cheers!

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

I use an HP touch laptop, and the problem I’ve found is only on Chrome so far.

It does work with Android, but the scrolling is not that good.

Also, it’s not limited to the elements but the builder, like if you wanted to scroll to the right for more options.

Here is a link. One of the buttons on the top right is a good example.

Hi @JfantasyBooks,

It seems to be a hybrid device specific issue, it works okay on a tablet turned to laptop by adding a keyboard. There were known issues with hybrid devices as it borders between mobile (touch) and desktop (pointing). And since there is no direct hardware detection through CSS or Javascript, the system don’t know or can’t detect which is being utilized, the click through touch or the click through pointing device.

I’ll continue checking, and I may add this to our issue tracker.

Thanks!

Alright. I don’t have any issues on the other browsers. It seems to be limited to chrome.

Also, even with mobile devices, scrolling is difficult

Hey J,

Thanks for the specific detail. Rad will post his findings in our issue tracker.

For now, please note that Pro’s builder does not have touch support which might included hybrid devices.
