Pro: Custom Header/Footer based on category

Here is a fun question. Is there an approach to creating a custom header/footer that displays based on a category. I know we can do it via post type, but in this case, it would be based on a category(ies).

There is no option currently to achieve that, however, I’ve checked our issues tracker and I can see this one is on the features request list, so it’s most likely will be seen in one of the future releases depending on many factors, I’ve added your vote to this feature request.
