Pro Cornerstone - Several issues

Hi,

I am having issues to visualise and edit a page on Pro editor (cornerstone)
I have cleared my cache and checked on a different browser and the issues persist.

Well, im seeing several issues that were not happening a week ago.
The page doesn´t scroll down.
Checking the different screens, sort of breaks the page. The visual doesn´t display what it should be there.
Some headlines changed the font to something called “select” and when clicked it changes thickness.
On small screens, the content padding disappears (content goes to the edge of screen)

It just behaves oodly.
I have been working with ThemeX for a couple of years now, and this is not common.

There´s some urgency in solving this.

Thank you

Hi @PanInternational,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that you are using a specific structure of the Grid, in which adding a new cell will come side-by-side and a scroll will not work in that case. By clicking the specific cell, you can edit the content of it.
In your case, if you click into the 3rd cell into your left-hand panel, the right-hand panel will show the content of the 3rd cell only and you can change that accordingly.

If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide a few more information like a screenshot with a marked issue or any videos that will help us to diagnose the problem.

Thanks

Hi @tristup

Thank you for your reply.
I am sorry but I don´t get what you are saying.
Thats not how you edit a grid. You can see and click. You dont need to go to the left panel for that. And even if I go, there´s not way to edit what I cant see.
As I said, I have been working on this for quite a while and this is not the typical behaviour.
Can´t you see something wrong in that screenshot? I don´t know how to explain what it seems obvious.

You can see four columns there on the left panel, and it only displays two. By changing the view to tablet, you can see the cells again. only on this screen it has a bug.
You should be able to scroll down to see the other cells, and the scroll is not working.
On top, there´s a text box, that for some reason doesn´t have any padding. It had last week. lol
On devices (not large) the overall padding disappears. content goes to the edge of the screen. It was not like that last week.

Please check again because i see several bugs.

Hi @PanInternational,

The structure and the way of representation of the grid and the cell are known to us, but it seems that some modification has been made at your end and that is why it works like that. Setting Flex-Layout to Off or resetting X-Axis & Alignment and Y-Axis & Alignment will resolve the issue. Please find the screenshot describing the settings.

I have made a sample page by duplicating the About page and fix the grid, you can check and replicate it. Please find the URL in the secure note.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Hi @tristup

Thank you.
I don´t know what was changed, because i simply created a 4 column grid. Didn´t customise it.
I will have a look.

The other issue that still persists, not only on grid element, but everywhere is the overall responsiveness.
When on tablet screen, the overall width doesnt adapt to the screen like it used to.
I checked the element, column, row and section and i don´t know why there´s no padding around the elements.
Even on the example you created, the grid (on Large screen) loses the padding. It´s like I have the Row Global container set to off. But it´s not.
This is happening with all pages and all elements.

Hey @PanInternational,

The responsiveness of a page is in the user’s control.

I believe your issue is with the Text element? That’s because you didn’t set the side padding. Please either set the side padding of the Text element or the Section.

If that is not what you’re referring to, please show us the exact area that is having an issue.

Thanks.

Hi @christian

Thank you for your reply.
I am feeling crazy here. When the support team can´t see an issue that is too obvious. I already lost one day of work with this, and im guessing i will lose another. :frowning:
I have been working with themex for the past 6 years. Let me try to explain again.

In any cornerstone page, if i add a text box, the text box will fill the width of the column (by default), lets say 60% of a desktop screen width. The same text box on mobile or table, the column adapts to the screen and it goes to 90% of the mobile screen width. The element NEVER goes to the edge of the screen, unless I set up the row global container to off.

See attached images. Different website, both with theme pro.
In one, the content does not go to the edge (no padding added) but on this one, all elements go to the edge of the screen.

I don´t know what else to do.

Hey @PanInternational,

With all due respect, I understood the issue. The text lack some spacing in the sides like what you have described. I gave a solution based on that. Please check the secure note video to see that it actually works.

Another info I’d like to add is you’ve set your Site Width to 100%. That is why there will really be no side spacing if you reduce the screen width after it hits the Max Site Width size. I thought you knew about this and considered this as intentional. If not, set it to a lower value so there would be side spacing even if there’s no side paddings.

Can you give us the URL of working page and access to the WordPress Admin so we could check the setup and prove that the Text element and any element around it doesn’t have padding, margin or if the Global Container is on yet there is space?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi @christian

Thank you for you reply.
Always with respect.

Yes, you are right. The example i gave had the site width to 90%.
I was simply not aware that the site width would affect the responsiveness like this.
And I was almost sure, that 2 weeks ago the site was adapting well to other screens even with it set to 100%, but maybe I am wrong.

With that said. Your solution fixed it, I just thought that this could be mentioned in the beginning of this thread.
But maybe I didn´t express myself well enough.

Ok, the width issue is apparently solved, and i thank you for that.

Cheers
