Pro/Cornerstone can't launch

Hello, the editor does not load on any of the pages. I have searched different forums for possible answers, so far without success. I tried:
• Disable all plugins
• Check PHP version
• Review general settings
• Try in private mode
• Test in different browsers
• Change setting in Autoptimize and Async JavaScript plugins

Hello @jnthn,

Thanks for writing in! I have checked your site and I see this JS error when launching Cornerstone:

JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2
app.e521902.js:1

Uncaught SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list

Please re-install your Pro theme 5.0.8 manually. Kindly check out this documentation guide.

Best Regards.

Hi @ruenel , thanks for the answer.

I re-install using the WordPress dashboard as the documentation said, but nothing changed. Do you know what could be wrong?

Kind Regards

Hi @jnthn,

It is possible that this is a plugin conflict issue, please do a test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Also, it is worth noting that it could be a conflict of the customization on your child theme, please try switching to the parent PRO theme and see if that resolves the issue.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Hello there,

Before I asked here, I had already read that forum and made the recommendations. Anyway I just repeated it to get screens and changed the theme.

Please help :slightly_frowning_face:

Hi @jnthn,

In that case, can you clone your site on a staging environment so we can do some testing?

Thanks,

Hi, PRO still not working. I have created a clone of the site as you request it.

Thanks.

Hey @jnthn,

It looks like you didn’t test deactivating plugins thoroughly. I tested for plugin conflict in your live site and the builder works. Please test for a plugin conflict again.

Your staging site also works.

Thanks.

Hi @christian

I kept the settings unchanged and it stopped working again a day later and I can’t get it to work by deactivating plugins.

I even removed the Autoptimize and Async JavaScript plugins on the staging site, without results.

Could you please explain to me exactly what the problem is and how to avoid it?

Hi @jnthn,

This could be a cache residue related issue (please see secure note for details). I tried to run WP-Optimize - Clean, Compress, Cache on your site but no luck. It could be a server-side cache that holding up a cache version of that file I mentioned below.

It can also be a caching plugin that you have before, and then uninstalled without clearing its cache so its cache residue remain even if the plugin is already deleted. So if you have those kind of plugin before, please reinstall it and CLEAR its cache.

Thanks,

My friend,

Unfortunately I’m still unsuccessful, cornerstone does not work and it is essential that I can use it today, I’m close to my death line.

I tried different ways to clear the cache as you suggested, plus I cleared suspicious plugins. Nothing worked.

Is there a way to clear the server-side cache or guarantee the working of the file you mentioned?

… I run out of ideas. Please help.

Hi @jnthn,

I have checked your staging server by deactivating all the plugins, but still, get the problem you described. I would suggest reinstalling the Pro once again by downloading from your Themeco Account and checking if that resolves your issue.

Thanks
