Pro (Child) Theme Kills the Block editor and most recent update kills the Pro editor

Have had a couple problems for a while now. First: It appears that the X-Pro Child Theme kills the Wordpress Block editor. I need the Block Editor for certain posts + I need it to edit SEO using Yoast.

Current setup:
Wordpress 5.3.2
Current X-Pro version: 2.5.5
Pro Child-theme version: 1.0.0

Under “Themes” I get the following message:
Name
Pro - Child Theme

Description
The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Pro” parent theme.

Now, why am I not just upgrading the theme to see if that fixes everything? Because I’ve experienced that the theme upgrade seems to kill the Pro editor, which is even more critical to the site than the block editor.

This needs a solution. Please help out.

Hello @thusgaard,

Thanks for writing in!

The parent theme is missing. Please install the "Pro" parent theme. means that the Pro theme is not installed or that the pro folder has been renamed to something else. To better assist you with your issue, kindly provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

Thanks for your response, @RueNel. Actually we found a piece of code which was blocking Yoast, the block editor as well as the Pro editor from loading. That’s all taken care of now.

The message that the Pro theme isn’t installed seems like a flaw and a cosmetic one at that, since the entire site is functioning fine with the Pro theme.

At this point we can do without further assistance. Thank you.

Glad this is now sorted out @thusgaard!
