Pro and X theme confusion

I purchased the PRO theme separately from my X theme. Is there anyway I could upgrade the X theme, instead of having them seperate? Or am I missing something here?

First of all Pro and X are two different themes. Pro having some additional feature along with all the X feature, excluding the demo content that X has. Pro having its own demo content called Design cloud.

If I understand your question, you wanted to convert your X license to Pro license without purchasing Pro separately.
If so you can do it. Go to https://theme.co/apex/licenses and in the X license you will find the button called Go Pro

You have to pay the amount and your license will convert to Pro.
after that, you will not able to use X anymore.
