Pro and WooCommerce VS updates frequencies

We’re working hard to keep all our WordPress websites up-to-date while validating changelogs to avoid implosions. Our current bottleneck is Pro, it seems to be updated only every few months.

For example, we’re not confident that updating to the latest WooCommerce is safe, since the template files’ overrides probably won’t be compatible anymore.

While the updates are major and really great, are there plans to deliver maintenance updates? (especially for compatibility, but also when optimizations are possible)

What do you all think? / What’s your experience with Pro VS WooCommerce so far?

We’ve been using 4.3.1 for a few months now, that is why we were wondering.

The step is big between 4.3.2 and 4.5.2, but I understand that it’s not your primary objective.
