The arrows to the right of “All Documents” don’t seem to do anything. If I remember correctly from Beta 1 you could select Pages or Layouts or whatever from this?
@urchindesign, this is a z-index
bug introduced by fixing something else. It will be addressed in the next bundle.
For now, you can try using the following CSS in the Dev Toolkit’s custom UI CSS:
.tco-react-select__menu-portal {
z-index: 444445 !important;
}
That should get it working until then. Sorry about that!
This is an issue for me on beta 4
EDIT: Nevermind, after removing the previous “hack” (custom CSS) then the dropdown worked again
I am hijacking this thread to post something unrelated. I am not able anymore to add new threads/posts to the beta forum. Is this related to the the message on my dashboard that my “support period has expired”? If this is true: Are you seriously preventing posts on the forum, even beta forum, after the expiration of a support period, that never even existed when I have bought Pro?
I am getting the same and flagged it up on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/yourthemeco/community/?ref=page_internal
License terms were updated back in 2020 with the launch of our new site and Pro purchases include one year of support (6 months for X per Envato’s rules). We extended that for an additional year for all existing customers giving approximately 2 more years from the change. I’ll have to check on the Beta forum access.
Hm! Just curious; where were we told about this change? Because it wasn’t in the blog post about your new website and I don’t remember an email. I know it’s in your docs section now but why would I check that particular article if I wasn’t aware.
Just ranting now but perhaps instead of extending the support period it would have been nice to grandfather support license for those that brought pro before the new terms, or for beta testers I dunno. On the flip side, you need to make money and providing support for free isn’t done nowadays… but it would have gone along with the “better together” slogan.
A suggestion for this forum; would it be possible to have a space for those whose support has expired to chat and help each other? Perhaps another dropdown called community
It has been on our terms since early 2020 when the new site came out (https://theme.co/terms). I did find out that all access to posting in the forums is tied to this so we won’t be able to carve out beta testers unfortunately. We definitely appreciate those willing to help test, but you will need an active support license to be able to do so (which can be had by extending the support period or buying a new single or unlimited license). Being able to reply to existing threads if support is inactive is a bug we’re investigating as that shouldn’t be the case if support is expired. Keep in mind, you will continue to get product updates as they are made available, this only has to do with support. We also won’t be adding any additional forums.
So, that would be a no then. A simple email, a paragraph in your status reports at the time or in the blog post in which you announce your new site would have been nice. I note only now that you’re bringing it up in your latest status report.
I do understand that product updates continue but that is not the point. Fine, if you’re not going to honour old customers in that way then the least you could do is offer a separate space for those people to support each other.
We’ll leave it there I think. No hard feelings just don’t agree on some of the moves here.
p.s. still can’t post in beta forum.
