Hi @co50,
Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the same in the local environment but didn’t find any issues as you described here. I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server and update the Pro to the latest and check if that issue still exists or not.
If that exists, please give us access to the staging site in the secure note including the:
– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
Thanks
Did you read my issue? I said the issue exists ONLY on the latest version, so why are you asking me to update?
How did you replicate this page in your local environment? You’re saying you went through several hours of work to reproduce the forms as they are on that page, and somehow didn’t see the same issue we did? I’m doubtful.
Anyway, just wanted to report this bug in 6.4.1 to you. You can bring it up to the devs and fix it now or wait a few weeks and fix it eventually. Either way you’re going to want to fix it.
Hi @co50,
I understand that the issue you are facing is only with the latest version of the theme. But as the issue does not exist in my local environment with the same version and you also downgraded the theme, we are not able to reproduce the issue. That is why I asked you to create a staging and update the Pro on it so we can test it in staging without breaking the live site.
Thanks
The issue exists, you just have to mimic the same setup. The page in question has 3 gravity forms in an accordion stack. That’s pretty much it. Again, I’m just reporting the bug. Pro has lots of bugs. Some get reported. Some don’t.
For example, in the Headline element, if you choose the typing effect and change the font color, the prefix and suffix fields don’t follow the font color that the rest of the text uses. But hardly anyone uses this effect because for some reason it backspaces the text after it types it, making it useless. But the bug has been there forever. Ultimately, Pro needs a QA person or a red team whose job it is to find these bugs and fix them.
I think it’s meant to work like that. This way you can have the typed text in a different color.
The backspace effect is annoying and I’d love to see a couple more options there for different effects, plus there should be a blinking option for the symbol.
There’s a small group of users who beta test all the releases, including me, but we can never catch every bug.
If it’s meant to work like that then they should provide an option to change the pre/suffix color too. I don’t care that much, just wanted to point out that Pro has lots of issues that don’t get corrected.
I respect that you volunteer your time to beta test the releases but you do that for free, so there isn’t much of an incentive to actively look for and find every bug. If they paid somebody to red team this thing, it would be a much better product. My biggest annoyance with the whole thing is when I report a bug and they want me to jump through hoops to prove to them it’s a real bug.
Hey Greg,
I can’t replicate the issue as well but there are other similar case where the content is duplicated and unstyled at the bottom. I’ll report this to our dev team.
Thanks.
